London Rapper Retropxssy Has "All the Things"

London-based artist retropxssy is making waves once again with her latest single, "All The Things," set to drop on April 25th. Known for her raw, minimalist hip-hop style infused with a soulful vibe, retropxssy creates an enticing blend on this track, showcasing her eccentric flow and ability to elevate everyday emotions into something otherworldly and intriguing. It's a glimpse into retropxssy's world, where reality takes on a whole new meaning.

Drawing inspiration from legendary producers like Madlib, The Alchemist, and Griselda's innovative Mach Hommy, retropxssy stumbled upon the beat for "All The Things" through a chance encounter with producer Tony Bontana on Reddit. Further enhancing the production is JoeJas, whom retropxssy serendipitously met on the London Overground. Since then, JoeJas has become her closest creative partner, collaborating on the visual for "All The Things."

Centered around an infectious loop that lingers in your mind long after the song ends, "All The Things" finds retropxssy in a contemplative mood as she navigates the urban landscape of London. Accompanying the release is a visually striking video that adds an extra layer of depth to the song's already inventive feel. Featuring surreal imagery including a girl aspiring to be a mermaid and a menacing fisherman on the hunt, the video is a captivating visual interpretation of the track.

Known for her theatrical live performances, retropxssy has garnered rave reviews on London's live circuit. Her creative journey traces back to a youthful trip to Glastonbury, where she was electrified by The Prodigy's explosive performance. Now, retropxssy's talent has caught the attention of the Glastonbury Emerging competition, where she's been longlisted for a chance to perform at the iconic festival for the first time.
