Brooklyn-based rapper and producer J57 has announced the release of his latest EP, "SAN GENNARO", set to drop on March 31st, 2023 via FiveSe7en Collective/Soulspazm.
The most recent single off the project, "JAMO JAMO" featuring his groupmates Ras Kass & El Gant, who make up Jamo Gang, showcases their continued strength and resilience in the underground rap scene.
To add an extra layer of authenticity, J57 brought in DeeJay Element, a member of his other group Brown Bag AllStars, who provided cuts on the song. With big drums and a lush soundscape that blends 808s with boom bap, "JAMO JAMO" features raw bars that are sure to resonate with Hip Hop heads across the boards.
In addition to the homage paid to his New York roots and early memories of the Feast of San Gennaro in Little Italy, J57's "SAN GENNARO" EP showcases his signature genre-bending style throughout the project. The EP features a range of talented artists, including Ras Kass, Locksmith, El Gant, and J57's Atlanta protege Lord Tooz¥.
J57's impressive roster of past collaborations with renowned artists like DJ Premier, Wu-Tang Clan, and Joey Bada$$ speaks to his ability to consistently deliver quality Hip Hop. With "SAN GENNARO", J57 shows his skillset as both a producer and an MC.
